A new 61-bed care home on the outskirts of Chesham, Portobello Place is a state-of-the-art care home overlooking the beautiful Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The home is enclosed by a secure path with stop-off areas enabling residents to enjoy the fresh air and surrounding views.
A brownfield site, which fronts onto Chartridge lane. The topography changes by 8m across allowing the building to be staggered. The approach to the design and appearance of the buildings and spaces draws heavily on the existing character of Chartridge and the wider area, ensuring a proposal which is of the appropriate scale, massing, and material.
Focusing on top-quality care, the all-inclusive home offers four floors of luxurious facilities, embedded into the sloping landscape.

On the lowest level, staff facilities include office, laundry, kitchen, changing rooms and stores. Resident activities are also held downstairs in the cinema and spa.

Home-cooked meals are served on a rotating menu by the elite chefs, served in the dining rooms on each floor, the Private Dining room for intimate occasions with close family and friends, or the spacious Bistro.

The second floor also houses the Hair Salon and Gym, included in the all-inclusive activities of the home.
